Description
Position Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Field Director to design and run the campaign's voter contact program from day one through the August primary and November general election. This is a senior role with full ownership of the field plan, staff and volunteer management, goal-setting, and data-driven execution. The right candidate has run a field program before, knows what it takes to hit aggressive contact goals, and can build a team culture that keeps organizers and volunteers energized through a long cycle.
Requirements
Build and execute a comprehensive field plan covering voter ID, persuasion, GOTV, and volunteer recruitment through both the primary and general election.
Set weekly and cycle-long metrics for doors, calls, texts, volunteer shifts, and voter contacts; hold the team accountable to them.
Hire, train, coach, and manage a team of regional organizers, field organizers, and fellows; scale the team appropriately for each phase of the cycle.
Recruit, develop, and retain a broad volunteer base, including neighborhood team leaders and supervolunteers.
Own the campaign's use of VAN/VoteBuilder and related tools; ensure clean data, accurate turf cutting, and reliable reporting.
Produce clear, regular reporting for the Campaign Manager and Candidate on field progress, risks, and adjustments.
Represent the campaign with community leaders, allied organizations, and labor and coalition partners as needed.
