Development Operations Manager
Reporting to the Director of Development Operations, the Development Operations Manager will oversee systems, processes, and data that support fundraising initiatives. This role will ensure accurate revenue tracking, efficient workflow management, and effective use of CRM and reporting tools to drive strategic decision-making and optimize development performance. WABE multi-channel campaigns include radio, television, podcasts, digital, direct mail, email, targeted ads, telephone, and texting, as well as targeted programming to retain and deepen donor relationships.
The successful candidate will possess skills in fundraising operations, project management, process improvement, and reporting. They should be fully comfortable with the Microsoft Office software suite and have experience in CRM management, reconciliation, and workflow optimization. Additionally, desirable qualifications include financial management skills, and experience in media settings.
Accountabilities:- Oversee development operations functions, including gift processing and reporting, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and WABE-specific gift acceptance policies. Manage cash handling, gift and pledge entry, transaction adjustments, and imports with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.Ensure timely and accurate recording of all philanthropic contributions, including daily gift processing and reconciliation, and coordination of weekly bank deposits to maintain strong financial controls.Lead and optimize development systems and workflows, including expansion of matching gifts program through RevCRM, ensuring effective identification, tracking, and engagement of eligible donors and prospects.Conduct and integrate prospect research to identify, qualify, and segment donors and prospects; maintain robust donor records by capturing interests, giving capacity, affiliations, and engagement history to support targeted fundraising strategies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic projects to enhance operational efficiency, data integrity, process documentation, and internal communications across development and membership functions.Partner with team leads on donor retention and engagement initiatives, leveraging data insights, segmentation, and analytics to inform outreach and deepen relationships.Continuously evaluate and improve development operations procedures, documenting workflows and recommending enhancements to increase data accuracy, streamline processes, and strengthen overall organizational effectiveness.Utilize working knowledge of membership giving levels, fundraising campaigns, special donor events etc., to appropriately attribute gifts. Works closely with other departments, especially Finance, to reconcile all gifts accurately and confirm receipt of wire transfers and stock gifts.Immediately addresses any issues, unknowns, or inconsistencies that may inhibit timely processing. Perform other duties as assigned.

- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and possesses a strong desire to achieve, with the ability to be a self-starter.Exhibits a positive, professional demeanor with careful attention to detail, propriety, and confidentiality.Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency when issues arise.Familiar with payment processors and all entry points for potential gifts.Demonstrates proven ability to troubleshoot and work with vendors to swiftly resolve issues.Commands current computer technology and software, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, CRMs, and the internet.Manages multiple tasks while meeting deadlines, with impeccable time management skills.Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
