Company Overview
Organizational Purpose: The ALS Association is the only national not-for-profit voluntary health organization dedicated solely to the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS—commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease) through research, patient support, public awareness and advocacy.
Organizational Mission: To lead the fight to cure and treat ALS through global, cutting-edge research, and to empower people with Lou Gehrig’s disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support. The Greater Bay Area Chapter serves people with ALS, their families, caregivers and health care professionals throughout Northern and Central California.
