Imagine Children's Museum is located in Everett, WA. We proudly serve the families in our community and work with schools, childcare centers, social service providers and other nonprofits to bring playful learning opportunities to children throughout Snohomish County and beyond.

Free and guided play builds a child’s social and academic development. At Imagine Children’s Museum, we promote the power of play: learning and growing by doing what every child loves to do best…play! Our interactive exhibits and activities encourage children and their families to role play, experiment, splash, think, wander and create together in a place where they can feel physically and emotionally safe.

Company History

Imagine Children’s Museum emerged in 1991 as the result of a grassroots effort to fulfill the need in Snohomish County for a place where children and their families could spend quality time together year round.

Until September 2004, Imagine operated in small leased spaces. A capital campaign—distinguished by the unwavering dedication of staff and generous donors—resulted in the purchase of a permanent home in downtown Everett. Since then, our exceptional programs, exhibits and activities have drawn over two million people from all over the greater Puget Sound area and beyond. In 2019, the last full year before the pandemic, we served more than 248,000 people through the Museum and outreach programming for local children and families. Throughout the pandemic, the Museum continued to support tens of thousands of families with playful learning programs and activities. In 2022, Imagine Children’s Museum doubled its size, opening a three-story, double-volume expansion full of state-of-the-art interactive exhibits and brand-new spaces to play.
