WTTW (Chicago PBS) is seeking a Manager of On-Air Fundraising & Engagement. This individual will manage and produce on-air membership drives and grow audience support for WTTW.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee every detail of on-air fundraising—from strategy and analysis to defining and directing compelling messages.
Manage the strategy and execution of quarterly on-air membership campaigns, helping us engage and grow our base of loyal viewers
Collaborate with marketing, programming, and digital teams to create integrated campaigns that resonate across platforms.
Create unique member experiences, including behind-the-scenes events and virtual screenings tied to popular programming.
Develop member incentives, lead vendor relationships—with a focus on inclusion and diverse sourcing.
Use data to drive decisions—analyze results, test new approaches, and continuously refine strategy for maximum impact
Requirements
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills—able to craft compelling messages and coach others to deliver them.
Familiarity with donor CRMs, email marketing tools, or campaign planning software is a plus.
Ability to bring together creative and strategic thinking to inspire giving.
Working behind-the-scenes in a mission-centered media environment.
Making data-informed decisions to optimize results.
Building relationships with colleagues, talent, and vendors.
Doing meaningful work that connects people with trusted, high-quality programming.
EXPERIENCE: -5+ years of fundraising, membership, or donor engagement experience, ideally with leadership responsibility.
-Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving marketing, events, or audience engagement.
-Experience in events or live theater environments is helpful but not required.
-Background in TV not required—but it helps if you love storytelling, have an eye for detail, and a curiosity that keeps you learning.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, media production, or a related field.
