Description
The primary professional responsibilities of instructional faculty members are: teaching, research, scholarship and/or creative activity, and service to the University, social work profession, and to the community. These responsibilities generally include but not limited to: advising students, participation in campus and system-wide committees, maintaining office hours, working collaboratively and productively with colleagues, and participation in traditional academic functions.

Minimum Qualifications: 1) An earned Ph.D. or Doctorate in Social Work or other closely related field (e.g., EdD) from an accredited institution is required at the time of appointment. Doctoral candidates with ABD status may be considered. The doctorate must be completed by the start date of appointment. Applicants with academic experience may qualify for up to two years of service credit.
2) An earned Master of Social Work degree (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program.
3) Evidence of successful teaching experience with courses in a CSWE-accredited social work program.
4) Evidence of research and scholarly activity, including publications in scholarly refereed journals, potential for funded research projects, and presentations at scholarly meetings.
5) A strong commitment to working with diverse students, faculty and staff.
