Administrative Assistant (Part-Time, 25 hours/week)
Bluegrass Council of the Blind – Lexington, KY

The Bluegrass Council of the Blind (BCB) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to help keep our operations running smoothly and support our mission-driven work. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating order, connecting with people, and contributing to a collaborative, community-focused environment.

As our Administrative Assistant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining an efficient, welcoming office while supporting programs, staff, and the individuals we serve.

 What You’ll Do

•         Coordinate schedules, meetings, and appointments
•         Maintain accurate program records, consumer data, and evaluations
•         Enter and track donor information and gifts (experience with Blackbaud eTapestry is a plus)
•         Support donor stewardship efforts
•         Manage office supplies, equipment, and general office organization
•         Ensure the office is well-maintained and coordinate repairs as needed
•         Greet visitors and provide general administrative support
•         Oversee production of the monthly newsletter
•         Assist with website, social media, and brochure updates

What We’re Looking For

•         3+ years of experience in office management, administration, or similar roles (nonprofit experience a plus)
•         Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
•         Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
•         Comfort working with databases and handling high-volume data entry
•         Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•         Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
•         A positive, approachable, and dependable team member

Additional Details

•         Part-time, approximately 25 hours per week
•         Evening and weekend hours are rare
•         Light lifting may be required
•         Reliable transportation is required
•         Competitive hourly wage
