Description
The Vice President of Institutional Advancement provides strategic leadership for all advancement initiatives at Archbishop Moeller High School. This position directs the planning and implementation of a comprehensive giving and stewardship program that fosters a culture of philanthropy. The Vice President oversees the Advancement Team and reports directly to the President in this full-time position.
Externally, this role partners with alumni, parents, grandparents, business leaders, donors, and community supporters to raise philanthropic support for both immediate and long-term priorities of the school. Internally, the Vice President works closely with the President, Principal, Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, and volunteers to ensure the success of the School's advancement efforts.

Responsibilities and Duties
The Vice President of Institutional Advancement will:
- Support, promote, and model the mission, vision, and core values of Archbishop Moeller High School
- Partner with the President, Principal, and Board of Trustees to align advancement goals with Moeller’s Strategic Plan
- Develop and execute strategic stewardship plans across all advancement functions, ensuring timely and effective engagement.
- Provide strategic counsel and leadership for capital and endowment campaigns in alignment with institutional priorities.
- Cultivate and expand Moeller’s donor pipeline, including alumni and community supporters, to secure philanthropic support for new and ongoing initiatives.
- Responsible for a portfolio of 100 leadership and major gift prospects with solicitations in the five to seven-figure range, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Oversee all advancement programs, including annual, major, and planned gifts, and the State Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO).
- Establish clear yearly cash and pledged goals for annual, capital, endowment, and planned gift commitments.
- Forge new relationships to build awareness of the Moeller brand, expand financial resources, and increase impact.
- Monitor, assess, and communicate the progress of advancement initiatives to key stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate the Advancement Team, ensuring professional growth, accountability, and inclusivity.
- Act as a visible ambassador of Moeller High School at internal and external events.
- Develop and manage the annual advancement budget, setting clear expense goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the President, serving as a trusted partner and advocate for the School’s mission.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage the Moeller alumni community, and oversee all aspects of alumni relations programming, including all alumni-related special events.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Seven to ten years of progressive fundraising and advancement experience required.
