About the Opportunity
LEAD Ohio is seeking a Programs Director to fill a full-time position. This role will be critical in driving LEAD Ohio’s program strategy and implementation of these programs while supporting the mission of the organization
Responsibilities
- Program Development
- Support the Executive Director in creating LEAD Ohio & LEAD Ohio Foundation programs to advance the mission of the organization
- Manage the the development of programs to reach strategic goals
- Set and implement team benchmarks for projects
- Track program outcomes– both quantitative and qualitative
- Review feedback from program participants, key partners, and the team to develop continuous improvement
- Partner Relationship Management
- Build relationships with stakeholders and partners involved in programming
- Work closely with partners to find new and innovative ways to work collaboratively in the progressive ecosystem
- Grow the roster of individuals and organizations that LEAD Ohio works with to plug into our programming
- Role may include some minimal grant management
- Training
- Manage preparation, implementation, and staff participation LEAD Ohio training events such as the Campaign Academy, weekend campaign bootcamps, evening seminars, and more
- Determine project timelines for activities like program registration, content creation, speaker engagements, etc.
- Act as primary point person for LEAD Ohio training events to help ensure each runs smoothly
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Salary is set at $90,000 annually. LEAD Ohio also offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance as well as an optional Medical Flex Spending program.

Requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a role in government, politics, or progressive nonprofit work required
- Experience managing up, down, and sideways
- Candidates with established relationships with progressive organizations and individuals in Ohio are preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet firm deadlines
- Ability to multitask and remain flexible
- Ability to work with and support a diverse group of progressive partner organizations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Google Suite programs
- Experience with NGP VAN or Votebuilder
- Access to reliable transportation
