About the Opportunity
LEAD Ohio is seeking a Programs Director to fill a full-time position. This role will be critical in driving LEAD Ohio’s program strategy and implementation of these programs while supporting the mission of the organization

Responsibilities

• Program Development
• Support the Executive Director in creating LEAD Ohio & LEAD Ohio Foundation programs to advance the mission of the organization
• Manage the the development of programs to reach strategic goals
• Set and implement team benchmarks for projects
• Track program outcomes– both quantitative and qualitative
• Review feedback from program participants, key partners, and the team to develop continuous improvement 
• Partner Relationship Management
• Build relationships with stakeholders and partners involved in programming
• Work closely with partners to find new and innovative ways to work collaboratively in the progressive ecosystem
• Grow the roster of individuals and organizations that LEAD Ohio works with to plug into our programming
• Role may include some minimal grant management
• Training
• Manage preparation, implementation, and staff participation LEAD Ohio training events such as the Campaign Academy, weekend campaign bootcamps, evening seminars, and more
• Determine project timelines for activities like program registration, content creation, speaker engagements, etc.
• Act as primary point person for LEAD Ohio training events to help ensure each runs smoothly
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Salary is set at $90,000 annually. LEAD Ohio also offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance as well as an optional Medical Flex Spending program.

Requirements

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a role in government, politics, or progressive nonprofit work required
• Experience managing up, down, and sideways
• Candidates with established relationships with progressive organizations and individuals in Ohio are preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet firm deadlines
• Ability to multitask and remain flexible 
• Ability to work with and support a diverse group of progressive partner organizations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Google Suite programs 
• Experience with NGP VAN or Votebuilder 
• Access to reliable transportation
