- Program & Communication Coordinator
Description
The Kentucky Bar Foundation seeks a creative, detail-oriented, and highly organized professional to serve as Program & Communications Coordinator. This position supports the Foundation’s communications, programs, events, governance, and administrative initiatives, including support for the Foundation’s IOLTA program.
The Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director to strengthen organizational visibility, support donor and stakeholder engagement, coordinate meetings and events, and assist with communications and educational outreach efforts for attorneys, financial institutions, donors, and community partners.
This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys a combination of communications, project coordination, content creation, event support, and administrative organization.
Social Media & Communications
Develop and manage digital communications across platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and other channels
Create engaging content highlighting the Foundation’s mission, impact, grantees, donors, programs, and events
Design promotional and educational materials including Save-the-Date announcements, donor spotlights, informational campaigns, fact sheets, and digital publications
Assist with development of educational and informational communications related to the IOLTA program for attorneys and participating financial institutions
Coordinate multimedia and video content, including management of the KBF YouTube Brand Account
Assist with communications for Bench & Bar and KBA eNews
Oversee routine website updates, including reports, event information, donor rosters, and resource materials
Maintain consistent organizational branding and messaging
Programs, Events & Public Engagement
Assist the Executive Director with planning and logistics for Foundation and IOLTA-related meetings, events, and educational initiatives
Coordinate logistics for major Foundation events, including:
Annual Luncheon
Judge Johnstone & Justice Minton Award Dinner
Donor recognition and engagement events
Support outreach and engagement efforts involving attorneys, judges, banks, donors, grantees, and community stakeholders
Represent the Foundation professionally with external partners and constituents
Administrative & Governance Support
Prepare meeting packets, agendas, minutes, and supporting materials for Foundation and IOLTA committee and board meetings
Coordinate semi-annual pledge billing cycles in July and December
Track pledge payments and assist with follow-up communications regarding delinquent accounts
Coordinate donor acknowledgments, including memorial and tribute gifts
Maintain accurate donor, program, and organizational records
Assist with fundraising campaigns, grant-related communications, and engagement initiatives
Provide general administrative and project coordination support to Foundation operations
Requirements
Qualifications
Required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and project management abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Experience with social media platforms, digital communications, and content creation
Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building ability
High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Experience with website management, Canva, email marketing platforms, or video coordination
Preferred
Experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, communications, marketing, or donor relations
Familiarity with event planning and donor stewardship
Knowledge of the legal, nonprofit, or philanthropic sectors
Familiarity with QuickBooks Online
