Description
Emily’s Place, a transformational domestic violence program, is seeking an experienced grant writer to join our team. Reporting to the CEO, this position will require 30-40 hours per week and will be responsible for identifying, researching, writing, submitting, and managing grant proposals and reports to secure funding from foundation, corporate, and government sources.

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Key Responsibilities & Duties</strong></span></p><ul><li><strong>Grant Research & Prospecting: </strong>Proactively identify new funding opportunities that align with the organization’s mission.</li><li><strong>Proposal Writing & Submission:</strong> Draft, edit, and submit high-quality, persuasive grant proposals and letters of inquiry (LOI).</li><li><strong>Grant Management & Compliance:</strong> Maintain an accurate grants calendar to track deadlines, reporting requirements, and deliverables to ensure timely submission and compliance with funder guidelines.</li><li><strong>Data & Storytelling:</strong> Collect, organize, and analyze data to demonstrate program outcomes, success stories, and evidence-based results.</li><li><strong>Database Management:</strong> Maintain updated records of proposals, submissions, and donor communications.<br> </li></ul><p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Required Skills & Qualifications</strong></span></p><ul><li><strong>Experience: </strong>2–5+ years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development.</li><li><strong>Writing Expertise:</strong> Exceptional, persuasive writing and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.</li><li><strong>Research Abilities:</strong> Strong skills in researching and identifying potential funders.</li><li><strong>Project Management:</strong> Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet strict, tight deadlines.</li><li><strong>Technical Proficiency:</strong> Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).</li><li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.</li><li><strong>Soft Skills:</strong> High level of detail orientation, self-motivation, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.</li><li><strong>Social Media/Marketing and Canva experience a plus.</strong></li></ul><p><em>Interested applicants should email resume and cover letter to Colleen Campbell at ccampbell@emilysplacetx.org.</em></p>
