- Executive Director
Description
The Executive Director is the chief executive officer of the Authority and is responsible for the leadership and direct supervision of the Authority's day-to-day operations. This position reports to a five (5) member Board.
Requirements
A B.S. degree in business management, engineering, environmental science, public administration, or a related field is preferred.
A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible managerial and leadership experience in small to medium-sized public utilities, including five years of experience in a senior management capacity with a comparable organization, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Familiarity with EPA & NJDEP water & wastewater standards.
Familiarity with EPA, NJDEP and IBank infrastructure funding programs.
Familiarity with budget preparation, development and implementation of five- and ten-year capital improvement planning, labor relations, human resources, and NJ Local Public Contracts Law.
Involvement in related professional organizations
Possession of a professional engineer license, NJDEP operator licenses, NJ Certified Municipal Finance Officer, or NJ Qualified Purchasing Agent, or another applicable licensure/certification is a plus.
