Position Summary
The Director of Annual Giving and Donor Engagement is a newly created position that represents an exciting expansion of PCSC’s philanthropic program. This role plays a central part in strengthening PCSC’s annual giving initiatives, enhancing donor and church engagement, and elevating the PCSC Foundation’s digital and communications presence.
This role is highly operational and handson, while also empowered to bring forward new ideas, recommend improvements, and help shape strategies that enhance donor participation and connection. The Director works closely with the Senior Vice President of Development and Church Relations and contributes directly to the success of PCSC’s fundraising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Annual Giving Leadership
- Execute all aspects of PCSC’s annual fundraising programs, including the Mother’s Day Offering and other annual campaigns.
- Manage campaign timelines, materials, mailings, donor lists, and fulfillment processes to ensure timely and effective delivery.
- Coordinate with mail houses, internal stakeholders, and vendors.
Donor Engagement & Stewardship
- Strengthen donor engagement through timely communication, followup, and relationshipbuilding activities.
- Conduct and support database analysis to understand donor patterns, trends, and opportunities.
- Assist with identifying donor prospects, including residents and families, and support midlevel donor cultivation efforts.
Digital Communications & Outreach
- Support production of the Community Connections magazine (a significant, outward-facing responsibility), including gathering articles, writing content, and editing.
- Enhance PCSC’s digital presence by creating and updating content for social media, the Foundation website, and other communication channels.
- Assist in producing donor communications, digital content, and campaignrelated materials.
Support for Organizational Philanthropy
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Vice President on strategic fundraising and church relations initiatives.
- Participate in campus visits and help cultivate strong relationships with residents, families, and staff.
- Assist in executing donorrecognition events, campaign kickoffs, and other special initiatives.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of fundraising systems, processes, and communication practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability and willingness to learn and become proficient with the Raiser’s Edge NXT donor database.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in fundraising, marketing or communications.
- Demonstrated experience working with faithbased organizations.
- Prior experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT.
- CFRE or similar fundraising certification encouraged.
